Day 1 — Arusha to Tarangire. Afternoon game drive.
Day 2 — Tarangire to Serengeti. Long transfer via Ngorongoro, arriving central Serengeti.
Days 3–4 — Serengeti. Following the herds — Kogatende and the Mara River in season, Seronera and the central plains otherwise. Optional balloon safari at dawn.
Day 5 — Serengeti to Ngorongoro. Game drive en route, overnight on the crater rim.
Day 6 — Crater to Lake Natron. Early crater descent, then north to the Rift floor and Lake Natron.
Day 7 — Natron. Dawn walk to the flamingo flats, Ngare Sero waterfall gorge in the afternoon. Optional overnight climb of Ol Doinyo Lengai for those with the legs for it.
Day 8 — Return to Arusha.
